What Helen Wore: Sunday Walk

Last weekend was all about walks in the sun. It's so nice to get out and about and not have to think about coats and jackets. The sunny weather also makes me want to wear brighter clothes, hence the Hawaiian shirt and flowery headgear. This glittery sunflower from Luna on the Moon is so versatile, it can be worn as either a hair slide or a brooch. Plus I got it in their sample sale so it was a super bargain! The little spider button freaks me out a little but I'm using it as a way of facing my arachnid fears, in the prettiest way possible.

This is the first time this year that my sandals have been out of the wardrobe. They probably weren't the best footwear for walking through a field full of cow pats but I managed to make it across without incident. The backpack is also a summer essential. Perfect for carting around picnics and other adventure necessities. For this afternoon adventure I used it to carry my new camera and my blazer, since it certainly wasn't needed.

How have you been enjoying the sunshine?  Does it give you the urge to dress like a rainbow?
