Skirt | borrowed from my sister
Shoes | Primark
Earrings | Annie's Fingers

This outfit came together by accident but I totally love it. I bought the top a few weeks ago with the idea of day-to-night, work-to-bar sports luxe look in mind. I was going to wear it with plain trousers but then I spotted this leather look skirt in my sister's wardrobe. I have steered clear of the leather look previously, thinking it too harsh for my old granny ensembles but I think the softer girly shape of the skirt really works with these prim shoes.

I kept accessories to a minimum for this look but I couldn't resist popping on my awesome Picasso earrings from Annie's Fingers. Pablo Picasso is my favourite artist and I know almost everything there is to know about him. I love the quirky illustrative style of all of Annie's Fingers jewellery so I was so excited to win these in her giveaway last month. I've been dying to share them with you! Look out for lots more of her accessories popping up in posts soon. I can't stop wearing them!

I want to say that no Kimberleys were injured in the making of this but unfortunately that's not true. I should mention that I do all my own stunts. I'm also hugely clumsy. The two are not a great mix.

As soon as we finished taking photographs and it dawned on me that I was on a wooden plinth nearly two metres off the ground, I promptly lost my balance and plummeted- plummeted!- off the edge, landing in a heap in the rock pool below. Hilarious at the time, until I took stock and discovered I had sprained my ankle and endured numerous cuts and enormous bruises. And worst of all my knickers were soggy!
Helen very kindly (and sympthetically) documented my whole ordeal. Thanks to Ross for finally noticing that I had indeed toppled and coming to my rescue. Better late than never.
