As part of our recent decision to come out of our hermit-like existence, we headed along to the DUO Blogger Event at their Edinburgh store a couple of weeks ago. Surprisingly we hadn't heard of the brand before but we love all things shoes (obv) so headed along to check it out. I'd always imagined that affordable tailored boots were only in granny catalogues but this brand does it all- foot and calf measurements in classic styles and on- trend pieces.

At the event we were given free- reign to choose any pair of AW 14/15 boots we wanted. All us girls went mad, playing dress up with all the boots on offer. Helen knew straight off the bat that she wanted these bold Cheetah Calf Hair Mandel ankle boots so she quickly nabbed a pair. I however found it much harder to pick.
There was a clear split in the #BootTribes. A few of the girls went for the truly stunning over the knee boots. These were incredible to look at but I knew I would never actually wear them. I have athletic- shaped legs (massive calf muscles and tiny

Finally, I gave in and joined the bloggers over by the ankle boots. Damn it, they were too good!
I especially loved the classic yet modern navy Brando chelsea boots and put my tag on them. As I was walking around testing them a pair of slightly shorter, pointed toe beauties caught my eye. As I slipped them on I realised that the slightly lower edge meant they cut my ankle at a much more flattering height and the suede looked more feminine and dressy. I danced over to gleefully tell Helen I had finally- finally!- made my decision... Only to realise that I was wearing the black suede version of her Mandel boots.

Damn it! My ankle looks amazing and she has great taste. We will be twins again. At least this time we are co-ordinating, and not matching!
While we like to look like the blogging set that we are, we are both becoming known as 'Wardrobe Conversations'. To ease the confusion a bit, the gods sent us these beautiful new (matching) personalised name rings... actually they were sent to us by the brilliant Bonnie Bling, meaning you can grab yourself one too! They are a fabulous way to help people get our names right- we'll be wearing them to a lot at events, I think!
