While we had little matching touches at the DUO event, we decided to go all out to attend the Hill Street Design House launch. At the request of our Runaway Fox friends, we decked ourselves out in matching Hawaiian shirts, then accidentally coordinated further with skinny jeans and slipper shoes. Our Bonnie Bling rings finished things off perfectly.

We were there to celebrate this amazing space which offers studios to some of our favourite local designers. As well as Runaway Fox setting up The Edinburgh Casting Studio on the premises, the house is also home to our favourites Karen Mabon and Rowan Joy. It was a real joy getting a peek into everyone's creative spaces and discovering some new treasures, in the form of Maggie Mowbray, Patience Jewellery and Rene Walrus.

We spent quite a long time trying on Maggie's beautiful millinery in her gorgeous showroom. People should really wear more hats! We certainly have a few picked out that would be perfect wedding guest attire, or even for when we just want to feel especially ladylike. Sparkly headpieces are also something the world needs more of and Rene Walrus had a rather fine selection, alongside some particularly bling jewellery and the sparkliest of collars. Glitter and shine everywhere! And even if we didn't get a proper look at Patience Jewellery, what we did see we most definitely liked.  On top of all that we fell for Zyzanna's monochrome homewears. Cats with glasses, hello!! What a talented bunch! Oh, and we now have so much office interior design inspiration I think we might burst!

As we were at the second launch night, for friends and family, the place was decked out in full partymode. This space is the best party venue ever. Not only did we get a good look at all the studios spaces there was the most delicious cake we've ever tasted, good tunes, demonstrations and a RAFFLE! If there's a raffle we are there, all the rest were wonderful little extras.

Jenny Hazel has transformed this Edinburgh town house into a mecca for creatives to come, design, create and collaborate. All the main studio spaces have been filled and
the place buzzes with ideas. We cannot wait to see what kind of collaborations happen within those walls- we want to move in and never leave. Isn't there a cupboard under the stairs we can have?!

Next on their event agenda is the Karen Mabon x Patience Jewellery Xmas pop up which is the perfect opportunity for some present buying. We will definitely be rocking up to that. One of everything please!
