Our lovely friends at Runaway Fox were kind enough to let us borrow some of their awesome pieces  for our recent Halloween marathon. In fact they gave us so many pieces that we couldn't fit it all in! Not ones to miss an opportunity, we decided to fit in a little shoot at the museum before returning these fabulous pieces. While Kimberley was besotted with the Crab Pincer Necklace (who can blame her!) I opted for this slightly subtler, but still wonderfully creepy, Crow Claw Necklace. It is so realistic!

I paired it with this dress that I got ages ago. I don't normally check out the clothes in Asda but this was a New Years Eve emergency and I wanted something new to wear ASAP. I would usually keep it for evening wear, due to the subtle shimmer and dressier style, but it's nice to wear something fancy during the day sometimes. Plus, I was headed to a vintage fair after our we shoot so thought the 1920s style would fit in, even if it's not authentic.

It's strange how blogging and taking outfit photos on a regular basis has really boosted my confidence. Back when we started off, I always wanted to find the most out of the way locations for our shoots. Now I'm happy to pose in front of artwork in a public gallery and only feel a little awkward. I suppose it helps when you find some fabulous artwork like these mixed media pieces by Danie Mellor. The colour is so vivid and the pieces have a great sheen to them. I love how the strong blue colour clashes with the subject matter. I also enjoy how it clashes with my hair, think I might need to add a bit of electric blue to my wardrobe now.
