Hello December! I can't believe we've reached the last month of the year. It's time to start opening the doors on the advent calendar and get counting down to Christmas.  The other week I kicked off my Christmas shopping in Edinburgh. It was a great place to start and I really enjoyed romping around the independent stores and boutiques. I managed to get a fair few gifts for my nearest and dearest, all without the stress of battling high street crowds. You can check out exactly where I visited in the November Round Up post, but here's what I wore for our trip to the Scotland RE:DESIGNED pop up at Ocean Terminal. I'd been wanting to go along ever since catching photos of the launch back in October, so when Lynsay from Miss West End Girl suggested we have girl gang get together and head along, I was extremely excited. The pop up shop was rammed full of amazing designers, but we'll share more about that later in the week.

I decided I wanted to go bright and colourful while still keeping cosy so gave layering a go. This Vintage Style Me dress originally came with sleeves but, after I damaged one, I decided to remove them and turn it into a cute pinafore style. It works perfectly with this Monki shirt. I keep meaning to invest in more plain shirts to wear under jumpers, but always end up being distracted by colour and patterns. This is probably the plainest shirt I own but the embroidered collar makes sure there's still plenty of interest.

The Karen Mabon necklace is one of my favourite pieces by her, which I definitely don't wear enough. I love these nudey ladies with their great hair and the chain length is perfect. Gonna make it my mission to style it up more regularly.
