Last weekend we went to catch up with all our favourite creatives at The Gathering 6. It was a special launch party to celebrate the Onward! Scotstreetstyle annual- a wonderful photographic coffee table book packed with all us stylish Scots- which will be out this week. In association with Location Scotland, the launch was held in SWG3 Warehouse in Glasgow.

I've mentioned recently that I've been hiding myself away, wearing plain black, black, black. The reason is obvious- I've gained a lot of weight. It's a combination of medication, my dodgy ankle and my habit of sleep-eating that is making me pudgy. I'm mostly okay with it- my weight yo-yos a lot and I know it's temporary- but lately it's been difficult. But I was so excited to see everyone at the Gathering, and I didn't want to fade away. So I went bold with clashing prints and vibrant colours. Hello, I'm here! And ringing in the positivity with my Yes clutch.

As Helen and I always co-ordinate for events, we wore complimenting necklaces from Sugar and Vice*. Mine was the Lunar Tribal Arrow necklace- dark, and geometric. And glittery, of course. Helen has the vibrant orange and gold Solar version. I think they really suit us and we got SO many compliments on them. We also had on matching boots in different colours. Because we are too cool.

Completely clashing with my coat was this purple and pink scarf from We Are Rushworth. I'm in love! It's the one from our knitwear wishlist and I adore it more because the print is little finger paint penguins made by Victoria's son. So utterly sweet, and it's nice and warm too.The perfect knitwear investment for Scotland!

We saw so many wonderful people at the gathering that it is difficult to list. We caught up with our fellow Edinburgh Blogger girls. We grabbed a wee squeeze from babes Betty & Bee. We finally finally met Amanda from Honeypopkisses blog, the lovely Sinead from Wee and Twee and Mrs Swoon Nails herself- all people we communicate with on social media but hadn't met in real life. Exactly what #scotstreetstyle is all about.
We chatted to lots of designers, bloggers and photographers about all things fashion and there were so many familiar faces we didn't get a chance to chat to- sorry guys!- but it was all a blur and then we had trains to catch. I'm sure we'll catch up with everyone soon- and we have some collaborations in the pipeline so watch this space!

Great job to Scotstreetstyle, Location Scotland and Betty and Bee for putting it together. 'Til next time- Onward!
