Last Sunday Helen and I had to fore-go day two of Edinburgh Fashion Week because we already had a date with our Girl Gang in Glasgow- to give crafting a go at Hillary's Crafternoon.
I'm still really feeling pink at the moment. Think my hair is going to my head- and wardrobe!
I bought this jumper recently in the sales- it's actually way too big for me but I quite like the slouchy relaxed shape. It has an amazing texture to it too but mostly I wanted the bright colour. I felt it needed a statement necklace so of course I went to one of my go-to faves from Karen Mabon. I wasn't quite sure what kind of crafting would be required (and I was still dying of sinusitis) so I wore it with simple jeans and slippers. One of my colleagues thought my slippers had bananas on them but (sadly) they are majestic fleur de leis to make me feel like a velvet- clad grandad. As I deserve to.
As we will share on Friday, we got down to some serious hand sewing (and cake eating) at the Crafternoon. I'm actually half- decent at hand sewing. I spent waay too much time chatting and not enough paying attention so I was behind on both the fun wee projects we were given. Think I got away with pulling it all together at the last second. My bird kinda looked like a bird... not that I'm suggesting some others weren't *cough*. You'll have to wait for the moment to enjoy that one...
I was pleased until I got home at least, when my other half 's facial expression gave away just how crap my efforts were. At least it makes me laugh. Really. I had way more fun than my face gives away.

Love the pink & checked combo Kimberly :) I saw your scarf designs on instagram and I'm soooo impressed! Bet you guys can't wait to get the actual scarves. xx
