Last week Helen and I went along to the annual Etsy Craft Party run by Edinburgh Etsy Team. Our girl Vicky Viola organised it, along with Fiona, Zyzanna and Diedododa. We went along to last year's one and had the best time embroidering vintage photographs so we excited to go along to this kaleidscope themed craft party, held at my favourite haunt Paradise Palms. We were joined by etsy member Harriet, who we met at the last Etsy Craft Party. She is the cutest, even hungover and making puke collages, which were weirdly adorable too. We had a pile of intersting (and creepy) pictures to use and freedom to make anything. Anything! So I made the fan of sexy legs (above) with a pin up peepshow collage. I also made a fun Saved by the Bell coloured card with a quizzin' cowgirl.
As Helen and I will be going to London for my birthday (yay!) she brought my presents early. And I got to wear them! YUSS! So I finally have the The Whitepepper stegosaurus bag and Jill Skulina's hunchbacked bird jacket is all mine! I've named the stegosaurus Steven but he goes by Steve, less formally. While I am absolutely in love with him, I think calling him a 'clutch' is a bit of a stretch. Basically he can fit my phone, my travel card and maybe a bank note. He is essentially the largest and most inconvenient phone cover. But he's so amazing that it's worth it. She also gave me a whole set of pom pom makers, so expect to see much pompom embellishment in my near future. Helen really is the best other half to have! She's too good to me.
I kept the look simple with jeans and a Myleene Klass blouse I bought for work in the January sales but never got round to wearing. I topped it off with this Sugar and Vice necklace from the new Whatever the Weather collection. Helen has the sunny version but I don't mind wearing the bad weather- look at those glittering raindrops! Too cute! I like to think it was my charm for keeping away the rain. Even if it didn't keep away the awful wind the ruined my hair. Sorry I blamed you Steve!
I'm so glad that Helen helped me have a fun, colourful outfit for an afternoon of arty crafting. Thanks for being the best bestie, my lovely! x
