After picking up this cat pinafore from Kerrie Aldo at the weekend I couldn't wait to wear it. In fact I've already worn it twice since then! I love it when I have something new and I'm all excited to style it up in different ways. It makes getting dressed in the morning so much more fun and encourages me to dig out older items and accessories. Like this turtle neck. This was part of a collection I made at uni, which I dug out for some handy layering. I love it under the pinafore, even if it does look a tad autumnal.

Kimberley and I snapped these photos in the back garden at my Dad's house. Where I was reunited with Woody, my childhood 'pet'. Yeah, that's right, I had a pet piece of wood. Don't judge me! I thought he'd make an excellent prop for some Twin Peaks style photos. Say hello to Helen the Log Lady.....

We've been spending quite a bit of time in our home town getting ready for our friend Susan's wedding. Which is today! Yes, we'll be being busy bridesmaids. I'm very excited for a fabulous day and looking forward to shimmying down the isle in my bridesmaid dress. Fingers crossed I don't trip, my shoes are rather tall.
So happy Wednesday all. And please do share if you too had an inanimate object as a pet. I can't be the only one.

Not a pet as such, but my most prized childhood possession (which I still have) was a piece of olive green Lego I called Pussy Cat Willum!
