Hepburns Nail Lounge

I used to love painting my nails and getting all creative with nail art. There are a few posts on this here blog that prove just that. Lately I haven't been quite so creative. For quite a while actually, my nails have been left chipped or naked and neglected. Lack of time and energy being the biggest factors. So, when we got invited down to Hepburn's Nail Lounge to try out their special no chip manicure I pretty much jumped at the chance to give my nails some love.

We were both made to feel very welcome in the bright and colourful Dundee salon. Then came the tough choice - what colour to pick?! There certainly were plenty of pretty shades to choose from. I opted for their colour of the month - 'Spooky Sunrise'. It had to be an autumnal orange for the run up to Halloween. Kimberley went to the other end of the spectrum and followed her princess self, picking 'Party at the Palace'. Hepburns create the formula themselves and advise it can last up to 3 weeks. I was more than willing to put it to the test. Once the colour was on our hands were treated to Hepburn's very own hand cream. We were offered a mix of delicious sounding scents but both opted for Watermelon and Lime. It smelt fantastic!

I've never really felt the need to get someone else to do my nails. I have a vanity case full of different polishes and I'm pretty good at keeping inside the lines, so why would I need to? But I have to say, it was so nice to sit back and let someone else take care of my finger tips. Plus I didn't have to worry about smudging them once they were done, something I always end up doing. And the best bit about it all is that my shiny nails have lasted and lasted. Two and a half weeks in fact. When I do it myself it usually only lasts a couple of days! I think I might have to treat myself to a longer lasting mani a little more often.
