Well hey there 2016. It's now a few days into the new year and so far I've been spending it relaxing before I head back to work tomorrow. I've been having long soaks in the bath, chilling in front of some more movies and getting involved in some Instagram challenges. All in all just taking things easy after the new year celebrations. Kimberley and I have spent the last few Hogmanays together and this time was no different. Instead of the Edinburgh nights out and hometown nights in of the past few years, this time we hit up Dundee. A bunch of us headed to Duke's Corner for some food, live music and dancing. It was a great way to bring the new year, made even better by the fact I packed some flat shoes to make the walk home much more manageable. I guess I'm turning into an adult now?!
My outfit for the evening was a bit of a last minute affair. I had planned on wearing something from the back of my wardrobe, after a look round the sales didn't bear any fruit. But a trip to TK Maxx got me sorted. It didn't start off well, with very slim pickings on display. A quick last look round found me this French Connection jumpsuit. I initially tried it on just for fun and fun I had, so decided it was the perfect sequin covered item to shimmy into the new year.
Jumpsuit | TK Maxx
Necklace | Tatty Devine
Shoes | New Look
Bag | H&M
Belt | Dreamland Clothing
Rings | Datter Industries and Jerome Dauphin
A few simple accessories finished everything off and I was ready to drink champagne and dance on the tables. Ok, I drank prosecco and danced in the designated dancing area but you get the idea. We even took some special soft focus images to build on the 70's feel. I hope you all had a most excellent New Year's Eve and that 2016 has gotten off to an amazing start!
