I hate insects, they freak me out. They have way too many legs, too many eyes and move far too fast. It doesn't matter if they're pretty ones, like butterflies, I will still do my best to avoid being close to them. Insects in fashion though, that's a whole other matter. I find myself constantly attracted to bug prints and details. I've managed to build myself quite a little collection, including scarves, tshirts and jumpers. This collection has now grown to include more jewellery, thanks to the lovely Sugar & Vice sending me this little Grasshopper set. I love the bright green colour and knew instantly that I'd have to wear them with my green H&M dress. Green items are another small but growing collection I've been working on. I love the way it clashes with my hair. And, because you can never have enough (not real) insects in one outfit, I added my H&M but jumper over the top. It may be rather grey and shapeless but I can't get enough of the embroidered bugs. Plus it's keeps away the chill that you get from hanging about in a hallway taking photos.

Unlike my hatred for bugs, I'm never quite sure how I feel about wearing matching earrings and necklace sets. It seems to be a bit of a fashion faux pas but I'm not that against it. I think it works quite well for me as I usually wear my hair so it covers my ears (when I'm not taking photos to show off jewellery). With these earrings that means there's just a small flash of green, which I like, and stops it from being too matchy matchy. Of course matching earrings and necklaces don't have to be worn together. I can use each piece to inject a bit of grasshopper fun in different ways.

  1. I really love the skirt, it has such a nice and refreshing green color and I really love that grasshopper necklace too. And also the boots lol.

  2. Your hair and top both are looking very different and nice. It's not necessary to follow the trend. Uniqueness is also beautiful.
