Happy birthday Wardrobe Conversations!

Today this blog of ours is 4 years old. Yes, it's been 4 years of  Scottish design, Unlikely Style Icons, cake-stops, vintage rummaging, blog crushes, wish lists, round ups and ever changing hair colours. OK, the latter is mainly Kimberley, but you get the idea. You may not see as much nail art, to do lists or baking as when we first started but (hopefully) there's been an improvement in our chat, features and photography.

We started Wardrobe Conversations so that we'd have something creative to do together and a reason to meet up regularly and that plan's definitely worked.  Having someone to bounce ideas off, have a laugh with, take photos and tell you when you have lipstick on your teeth is invaluable. So we've decided to celebrate by sharing our favourite on film best friends (but first, some dancing):

OK, now to the film besties:

1.) Napoleon and Pedro | Napoleon Dynamite
Well, obviously. We've only been ranting on about them for the passed two blogs posts! We love how these two misfits come together and help each other out. Pedro is happy to let Napoleon ride his sweet bike and Napoleon cracks out some sweet moves to help Pedro in his bid to become class president (see our photos for examples of these moves). Most of all the listen to each other, give each other advice and big each other up, just like friends should. Heck, yes!

2.)  Cher and Dione | Clueless
Two fabulously fashionable friends who help out with each others schemes, wardrobe choices and guy trouble - just like us! Well, apart from the whole being popular in high school thing and the fact that we've never worn that much plaid. They may have a few bumps along their friendship road but ultimately they're there for each other, and they look great while they do so.

3.) Elliot and ET | E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial
The classic friendship story of our childhood. We couldn't miss out the weird pairing of  lonely, pal-less child Elliot and his wrinkly alien companion. The two learn to communicate, escape mild peril and bond over being weird. We aren't sure which one is Helen and which one is Kimberley in this scenario, because we can't decide which one is the sidekick and which one has the sadder situation. Maybe we'll be sassy toddler, Drew Barrymore?

4.) Romy and Michele | Romy and Michele's High School Reunion
Ok, so these two might be a bit more like us. Bonded since high school, not quite where they thought they'd be by now but still great friends and always there for each other. Plus they share our love for ridiculous matching outfits and well rehearsed (not necessarily good) dance routines.

5.) Jesse and Chester | Dude, Where's My Car?
We loved this movie during our teenage years, mostly because it featured both of our major crushes at the time. Kimberley was an Ashton Kutcher fan, while Helen had a soft spot for Sean William Scott, in case you wondered. These guys may take being friends to the extreme. Not only do they live together, date a set of twins and work together, they also get kidnapped together, wear matching 'special suits' and save the world. This film may be ridiculous, but it holds a special place in the hearts of our teenage selves.

Now we're off to spend the day stuffing our faces with cake and listen to some 90s R&B. It's what every good birthday should involve!
